Unfinished business

Six times he crossed the devils,

Six times he let them abide,

each time a devil bestowed,

gifts no human can hide.

His soul hid Lust, Greed and Sloth

and his heart Envy, Gluttony and Pride.

As Wrath he lacked, but greedy was he,

So he waited for Satan, the last brother, to arrive.

In darkness he came, Satan pleased with his stay,

bestowed Wrath to complete the spell,

the most sinful man on Earth he was named,
