If I were to give the 2008 me a piece of wisdom, it would be this:
to be prepared for change
For the past week, I have been trying to adapt to the fluidity of medicine.
Where
you no longer have to be grade-perfect,
or to be treated like a broken egg if you get bad grades.
You are no longer defined by how well you can juggle chemistry equations
or remember bombastic anatomical terms,
but by how well you communicate
how well you create a bond amongst people.
I find it amusing though, after what I've been through the past year,
I can still at least show that I talk well enough too.
Now I just need to polish the really rough edges.
Now I just need to get myself down to a bar and submit to peer pressure! :D
